5 Reasons To Blog With Blogger In Draft Rather Than Blogger

Handy Pics Alignment
When it comes to uploading pictures to your post, I found that Blogger in Draft does a better job. The moment you insert the picture, a nifty option bar pops by which you can choose the desired left, right or centre alignment. The same bar also has size options, small, medium and large to adjust the photo size. Contrary to Blogger where once you choose the size and layout before hitting the upload button, its final.

Re sizable Post Editor Window

Avery helpful feature of blogger in draft especially when revising the post for spellings and grammar. Just drag the lower right corner of the post editor window and it will re size accordingly.

Extra Gadgets
Blogger in Draft has some very useful gadgets that Blogger does not have. Of course at some point of time they will eventually be a part of Blogger, but if you want to try it beforehand then log in to Blogger in Draft.

Here I Am, The Location Tool
Add location feature attaches tags to each of your post with location on Google maps. This is an extremely useful feature for travel bloggers.

Elaborate Post Options
Blogger in Draft shows post option with some extra features like convert newlines to br /s , ignore newlines, Interpret typed HTML and show HTML literally.

What Blogger In Draft Lacks But Blogger Possesses
I would not mislead you into believing that Blogger in Draft is having all features and Blogger doesn't. The features that Blogger in draft lacks are Insert video and Spell check.

Wordpress URL Shortner Embedded In The Blog Post Editor Itself

Wordpress comes with URL shortner right inside the blog post editor Itself. Though Wordpress claims it to be the shortest in terms of domain as wp.me, I think they should watch out su.pr before claiming big. Anyways its nice to find it right inside the blog. The unique and restrictive feature of this Wordpress URL shortener is that it works only for Wordpress and not for any other links.
I tried it and I am therefore presenting you with the screen shot to have a glimpse.

How I Gained 5 times More Traffic in 13 Days

One of my most sluggish blog, rose 5 times up in twitter followers and 6 times on traffic in 13 days. And there is just one secret to it. The change in URL shortening service from bitly to su।pr. See the results in the following screen-shots. It is a blog that delivers news about my University to its Alumni and current students. Though many happening, events and conference that are reported are of interest to many others in the world. And the basic difference lies in the fact that they had to be tapped from wherever they are. Stumble upon with su.pr was a right choice indeed.

Understanding this is of utmost importance.

Lightening Fast Loading Time
Google has one straightforward philosophy - Keep the page loading time short. Among all search engines I bet Google loads fastest. No doubt people stick to it. Clear And Courting Colour Combination
Before reading a even single line of text, what strikes the subconscious is the overall colour combination of your blog. The eyes take a snapshot and the judgment starts right there. In her experiment she hands over a 2 second muted video tape of various teachers and ask the students, who teaches the best. The results are remarkably similar to a group who evaluated the same teachers for a full semester.

Clean Clutter Free Interface

Over-stuffed sidebars, multiple animated flashing gif images, ads grabbing more real estate than the matter itself, too many columns and boxes like and old junkyard should be avoided at any cost. All these factors may chase the reader like an unleashed Doberman.

Powerful Pull Quotes

The above mentioned three factors affect the reader even without reading a single word from a blog. Now among the things that a visitor never skips is the pull quote. Whether its magazine, newspaper, site or a blog, the reader always goes through he pull - quotes.

Persuasive Headlines
Headlines having a question render the minds of a reader hungry to get the answer. Interrogative headlines thus make the best headlines ever. An all time great example to this is "How to win friends and influence people". Next bet bet is the list type headlines e.g. 6 Animals To Follow For Better Blogging.

Are You An Adsense Master Or An Adsense Slave

I was in my balcony watching the world of ads outside when this picture struck me. It forced me to think that are we slaves to the ad agencies that are based on cost per click model.

Placing Ads Like A Business Man
If you see care fully on the left hand side is an ad displayed by the 3G mobile company with a bunch of employees. These employees are located at the same place where a business man has parked his ads display vehicle and is coincidentally displaying the ads for the same company.
The basic difference between these two groups is that despite the same location the employees will earning by the number of sales of new 3G connection which of course will be not more than a few percent incentive of their measly salaries.
At the same location the business man is charging here in Jaipur somewhere between 7 to 12 lakhs INR for one month of ads display. Needless to say the employees will not get even a 1/1000 of this all five of them combined.

No Records More Money, All Records Negligible Money
The business man who has bought this spot will never have to produce any document that these many people have got your connection because the ad was displayed at this particular place. In fact this can never be tracked because you never find a customer who tell he is buying a certain product by looking at such and such hoarding located at bus stop no 3 lane no two on the right hand of the gulmohar tree, besides the large blue yellow lafanso ad or whatever.
On the other hand the employees will produce a full details complete with address and all to prove that they have got these many customers to the company yet the amount earned will be far less .

Which Model Are We Serving Through
If you own a website or a blog then you may have noticed that the ads are displayed on your site but you are paid like the EMPLOYEES in the above example. By the time you get a single click you have already shown this ad to a few hundred people but where is its benefit. In fact you should be earning like the businessman because you OWN a site a spot where there are thousands of visitors and why should you produce a click to earn when you can be a businessman. If you are the employee mentality then I think you are loosing a lot despite the inherent potential of your blog or site. What do you say, Agree or Disagree!!!

Blog Comments,Traffic and Adsense Conversions

Among the various techniques of increasing traffic on a blog commenting is a versatile instrument. Just like any other method it carries with itself a set of advantages and disadvantages. This post describes how to comment effectively for appropriate returns.Blog Comments,Traffic and Adsense Conversions

The Inert Comments

Most comments on various blogs look more like a rubber stamp, inert fixed and struck with a thump. This type of comments are as prevalent as mosquitoes in India, and yes they suck too. The only thing they can force you to put on is the switch of the repellent vapourizer. Avoid inert comments.

The Vibrant Comments

These comments are recognized by their ability to convey the feeling for the post as well as generate enough interest in the reader to draw him to your blog. If you want a long term input of traffic from your comments then try to make vibrant comments on the blogs you visit.

Comments And CTR

In the race to get more traffic many bloggers forget that only traffic will not increase your CTR. I remember from the post of Problogger - Do You Attract Readers to Your Blog that Are Like You? where he found during a survey that the readers of the blog are just like him. You can also say, Like begets like!
If you are commenting on blogs just to get hits, the traffic that comes to you will be of the same type. This comment visit cycle is the reason why most blogs are drowned in the sea of comments, but starving for a single click that converts.

Long Comments Longer Lasting Effects

Long needs a definition here because you may be aware that an hour spent with a beautiful mademoiselle feels like a minute while..........................
So spend some time to read and understand the post you have visited. Make a list of points how this has, or will affect you or your blog and then gift it and watch the fruitful consequences. It indicates that you were there not just to thrust the "Rubbers Stamp" like the horns of a raging bull.

Are You High On Comments And Low on Contents

If the comments you make on other blogs are mushrooming like the TV models and the posts on your blog is getting skimpier than their clothes, its time to pay attention to your blogs contents and posts. The traffic that follows to your blog should find some great contents on your blog as well, if you want to convert them into loyal readers. They will definitely have a tendency to compare your blog with the one they came from and then choice you know well of course.

6 Habits of Highly Efficient Bloggers

Link Thy Neighbour
Just as love increases by loving others, a smile proliferates as you pass your cute smile to others, blogs blossom by linking it to other relevant blogs. And yes, just as true love and sincere smile is the key for its perpetuation, linking follows the same rule. It requires just a click to judge the genuineness of a link. As you sow so shall you reap.

Positive Association
An eagles egg hatched in a chickens nest will dare not think of gliding on the ferocious turbulence of breeze, miles up the green grounds. Positive environment boosts productivity. Associate yourselves with active bloggers. In the era of social networking and @twitter it cannot be easier.

Concentration
The "Blog and Grow Rich" fever is prevalent in all the arteries which have shuttling RBCs in them. Survival of a blogger depends on the amount of concentration he pays on the subject and its intricacies. A magnifying glass is able to set the paper ablaze only if it is adjusted to concentrate the rays to its maximum. Greater the concentration, faster the results.

Continuing Education Program
Be a student, while you blog. Every blogger does not have a technological background. Even if a home maker wants to blog, may be about recepies, she will have to brush up with the knowledge of posts, feeds, backlinks, trackbacks, retweets, photohosting, Adsense, scripts, and many such things. A little knowledge of HTML and CSS can dramatically improve the posts and its layouts even on the free platforms like blogger.

Photobucket

Set Goals
Set up a realistic and practical goal for your blog in terms of finite identifiable numbers. It is fruitful to say that you will write 2 posts per week, you want 20% increase in the conversions, and 30% increase in blog traffic by the end of say April 2009. It is futile to say that you will be writing hundreds of posts and you will be getting thousands of conversions and millions of hits this week. These are unrealistic, undefined impractical goals.

Get Into Action
Write the post, revise it, give meaningful related tags and revise it again and post it. Ping the search engines with appropriate services like pingomatic. Click and preview your links to avoid dead links. Announce your post on twitter and mailing lists if you have any. Take some time off around 9-12 minutes to read related posts on others blogs and write sincere comments. Relax.
Yes it is also an action, and one of the most powerful actions. It gives you subconcious mind the energy to think for the next post.
